Who publishes this site
Northmoor Lodge Casino Resort, a highland lodge with a land-based casino room inside it. The site exists to show the building, the rooms, the kitchen, the weekly programme and the Stagroom. Privacy questions go to [email protected], marked for the data protection contact.
What this website cannot do
There is no booking engine here, no guest account and no checkout. The site never asks for a card number, a passport or a date of birth, and it carries no gambling, so there is no play history to record either. Reservations happen by email or by telephone, away from this website.
What is collected
- Nothing, if you only read. Reading these pages requires no personal information whatsoever.
- Two choices of yours. The age confirmation and the cookie decision sit in your own browser storage. They never reach our servers.
- Hosting logs. Our provider records the requesting IP address, the time, the page and the browser string, as every web server does. These exist for availability and security.
- Anything you email us. Your message and your address, kept for as long as the enquiry and its paper trail need.
Measurement, with your permission
If you accept, we load Google Analytics and a Google Ads tag to count visits, see which parts of the site get read and work out whether our advertising is reaching adults who are actually interested in a lodge. Both set cookies and send a limited stream of events to Google.
Before you answer the banner, every consent category is set to denied in the page head, so those tags store nothing at all. Picking Essential only leaves them in that state for good. We never send an email address, a name or a document to any advertising platform.
The legal grounds
- Consent for analytics and advertising storage, withdrawable at any moment.
- Legitimate interests for server logs, security and keeping the site standing.
- Steps before a contract for handling an enquiry about a room, a table or an event.
- Legal obligation where accounting or safety rules require us to keep a record.
How long things are kept
Hosting logs: up to twelve months. Email about a stay: up to three years from the last message in the thread. Your two browser values: until you clear them yourself.
Who else is involved
Our hosting company, our email provider, and Google if and only if you consented. Nothing is sold, and nothing is handed to a third party for their own marketing. Where a provider operates outside the country the lodge stands in, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
What you can ask for
- A copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction of anything wrong.
- Deletion, where nothing obliges us to keep it.
- Restriction of, or objection to, a particular use.
- Withdrawal of cookie consent, through at the foot of any page.
- A complaint to the data protection regulator where you live.
Write to the address above; we answer within a month.
Young visitors
This site is written for adults and the casino room it describes starts at 18. We do not knowingly gather anything about a child. Tell us if you think we have, and it goes.
